Donall “Don” Otte Eno died in his Londonderry home on Feb. 26, 2015 at the age of 81 after a four-year battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 17, 1933 in Colorado and was the son of Fern and Ronald Eno.
He spent his mid youth, teens and early college years in Indiana and California. In 1954 he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in northern Maine, where he met his future bride, Jeannine Dufour.
He became an Air Traffic Controller while in the service and continued until retirement in 1988.
Upon retirement, he and his wife became snowbirds and settled in the Breckenridge golf community in Estero, Fla. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the morning golf league. He had the ability to tell a joke on any given subject.
In addition to his sense of humor, he loved a challenge or bet. He loved to challenge his children in golf, catch the biggest fish or win a dollar in a sports bet. He was an independent thinker and artistic.
He leaves his wife, Jeannine Eno; brother, Ronald Eno of Derry; six children, sons Chris Eno and partner, Sue Carradini of Derry, Mark Eno and wife, Christine of Merrimack, David Eno and wife, Kim of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Tim Eno of Merrimack, Todd Eno and wife, Susan of Brunswick, Maine, daughter Kim Ryan and husband, Michael of Londonderry; many grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 5, at 10.30 a.m. at St Mark’s Church, South Road, Londonderry. A life celebration will immediately follow at Brookstone Country Club, 14 Route 111, Derry.
He was thankful for the care he received from doctors and staff at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Londonderry, as well as the caregivers at Hospice.
