







The season ended last week for the Londonderry High School Girls’ basketball team with a trip to the University of New Hampshire where they played in the finals of the Division I State Championship.
Though the Lancers didn’t come away with a state title, losing to the defending champion Bedford Bulldogs, a number of the players were selected to the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Organization’s (NHBCO) All-State teams.
Junior forward and guard, Sammie Sullivan was instrumental in helping her team finish with just one loss in the regular season, going 20-1 heading into the finals. She and teammate, sophomore guard Gemma Murray, were selected to the NHBCO All-State First Team.
Sullivan led the state in scoring this season with an outstanding 19.3 points per game average. She also achieved 1,000 career points mid-way through the regular season.
Murray was also able to put up a very high average, averaging 15.2 points per game this year.
Londonderry junior guard Brooke Eacrett was given Honorable Mention by the NHBCO. Eacrett was relentless heading to the hoop this season and managed 12.1 points per game in scoring.
Senior guard and forward, Reagan Anderson, hit a major milestone this season, breaking through the 1,000 career rebound barrier, and put up 13.2 rebounds per game. Anderson was named to the All-Defensive Team for her efforts under the hoop against some much taller rivals.
Player of the Year went to Kate Allard, of the Bedford Bulldogs, she was also named N.H. Miss Basketball.
Varsity Coach of the Year went to Todd Steffanides for his efforts with the Windham Jaguars.
The Londonderry squad had a good run leading into the finals with the Bedford Bulldogs.
The Lancers beat Nashua South 73-29 in the first round, then got by the Salem Blue Devils in the Quarterfinal 55-41.
Londonderry then had a 51-36 victory over the Windham Jaguars to qualify for the finals.
