Gloria M. Ciccolo, 95, of Windham died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Warde Health Center in Windham with her three daughters at her side. She was born in Revere, MA on October 16, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanora (DeMarco) Merullo, and had been a resident of Windham for the past few years, formerly living in Londonderry and Revere, MA. Mrs. Ciccolo was employed as an administrative assistant for the Registry of Motor Vehicle’s Special Investigations Unit for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She was a member of the Immaculata Guild. She prayed the rosary every day and was a member of the Buttrick Village Prayer Group. She enjoyed traveling and spending winters with her husband, Jim, in Florida. Mrs. Ciccolo was an avid reader and Red Sox fan. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Hoppe of Londonderry, Lynda O’Brien and her husband, Robert of Tewksbury, MA, and Paula Duyon and her husband, Kevin of Londonderry; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James Ciccolo in 2002; her son-in-law, Paul Hoppe, her brothers, Roland, Carmen, Anthony, Joseph and Robert; and her sisters, Phyllis Rossetti, and Violet Aucella.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 13 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Church, 1 South Rd., Londonderry.
