Jeannette I. Dick, 97, of Manchester, died Tuesday Feb. 27, 2018 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, after a brief illness. She was born in Nashua, on March 17, 1920, a daughter of the late Alfred and Bertha (LeBoeuf) Dumont. She had been a resident of Manchester since 2008, formerly living in Londonderry over 40 years as well as in Nashua and Derry. She was fortunate to have made many new friends these past ten years at her last place of residence, Regency West. Mrs. Dick had been employed as a cafeteria worker in the Londonderry school system for many years prior to her retirement. Her varied interests included cooking for Thanksgiving family gatherings, eating out, (especially going for lobster rolls in the Hampton Beach area), shopping, Walmart being her favorite spot. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoyed many a long ride especially throughout Northern NH.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Barnes of Palm Beach, Fla; her daughter in law, Kathy Williams and her husband, Dean of Manchester; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; her sister, Lucille Dumont Stack, of Palm Beach Fla; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard F. Dick in 2010, and her son, Wayne B. Dick in 1978.
Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E.
