John Starr

John R. (Tarbox) Starr, 81, formerly of Londonderry, passed died July 20, 2014 surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home in Chester.

He was born March 15, 1933 in Boston, Mass., a son of the late Ralph and Stella Tarbox.

Mr. Starr served his country with both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Air Force.

In his younger days, he was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed target shooting.

He was employed by Daniels Printing for many years, starting out as a printer and retiring as supervisor of printing.

He enjoyed going out to eat but especially loved a good home cooked meal. He will be remembered for his sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rosita (Rader) Starr; his children, Jack Tarbox, Lisa Culver, Gina Novak, John Kierkiewicz, and Judith Doyle; seven grandchildren; three siblings, Ralph Tarbox, Doug Tarbox, and Carolyn Siegel; and many nieces and nephews.
