The Londonderry High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse squad notched two more wide-margin wins last week to get their season record up over the .500 mark heading into the final two weeks of the spring season.
Head coach Kelly Gordon and her Lady Lancer team began their week with a home game against Manchester Central High School, where Londonderry handed the Lady Little Green team its ninth loss of the season and gave the home team their sixth victory.
The LHS ladies beat Central 19-1 in a rather one-sided affair, outscoring the Little Green 11-1 in the first half and added eight goals in the second.
Londonderry goals went to: senior Tara Wright, senior Caroline Leone and junior Lauren Allen each had three netted.
Freshman Gabby Pedrick, freshman Ava Naar and junior Meg Daileneas all got two goals, while sophomore Ashleigh Leone, senior Tess Brown and senior Abbie Whitley each tallied one goal in the win.
The Londonderry crew then bumped their season record up to 7-6 three days later when they quite handily beat the Lady Crimson Tide of Concord High at home by a score of 16-3.
Once again, the LHS team took a strong lead into halftime, outscoring the Concord ladies 9-2 by the end of the first.
In that game, which also took place on the Lancers home turf, LHS scoring once again came from a number of sources.
Wright led the way with four goals and Allen notched three in the contest.
Caroline Leone, Victoria Savage and Daileneas each had two goals, while Ashleigh Leone, Lilah Melia, Jill Leonardo and Whitley all scored one a piece.
Assists went to: Allen with three; Wright had two; and Naar got one in the onesided contest.
