The Londonderry High School Girls’ Soccer team will be riding a four-game winning streak as the head into the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I playoffs.

The Lady Lancer squad finished out the regular season with convincing wins against four division opponents. In the last two weeks they have outscored their adversaries 18-2 and will enter this week’s tournament as the number 10 seed in the bracket with their 9-7 overall record.

Last week, the Londonderry team finished the regular season with two home games played under the lights behind the High School.

On Tuesday night, Oct. 19, the team hosted the Nashua North Lady Titans and beat that team in a 5-0 shutout on what was a rather cold and windy night.

Londonderry scored three of its five goals in the first half.

Junior Drea Dwyer was the first to score, with the assist going to freshman Reagan Anderson in the 12th minute of the game.

Senior Brynn Foster was second to score, she was assisted in the 26th minute from fellow senior Ashlyn Doucette.

In the 37st minute, senior Deven Bizzarro hit the net assisted by senior Ashley Manor.

Junior Mia Stowell scored the only two goals of the second half in the shutout.

One of the goals was assisted by Manor and the other was unassisted.

The Lady Lancer squad had a staggering 16 shots on the opponent while Londonderry goal tender Liana Sawyer only needed to make one save.

In the final game of the season, at home against the girls from Alvirne High School, Londonderry celebrated their senior members and beat the Lady Broncos 4-1.

Goals in the first half were both by Londonderry, senior Madison LeClair scored with an assist from Bizzarro and Manor had a goal on a penalty kick near the 30-minute mark.

The Lady Broncos cut their deficit in half with the first goal in the second period, but Stowell and Anderson combined for two more unanswered strikes.

Londonderry had 13 shots on the goal in the game while Alvirne managed eight. Sawyer made five saves in the victory.

The Lady Lancers will take their four game winning streak into the DI Tournement at Exeter High School on Wednesday, Oct. 27, to face the number seven seeded Lady Blue Hawks who finished at 10-4-2.

Londonderry faced Exeter in the first game of the season and lost 5-1, but are hoping momentum will help get through the first round of the playoffs.
