The Londonderry High School Girls Soccer squad had a successful week following their tough 0-4 loss to the Bedford Bulldogs to end last week.
The Lancers traveled to Nashua to start the week, on Wednesday, Sept. 14 and were able to come away with a 3-1 victory over the Nashua South Purple Panthers.
The Lady Lancers had a slim 1-0 lead heading into halftime, but were able to score two more times in the second half for the 3-1 victory.
Londonderry goals were taken by Sophomore Reagan Anderson with an assist by fellow Sophomore Ali Von Pichl; Senior Olivia MacDonnell had a goal on a direct kick; and standout Senior, Mia Stowell, also scored with an assist by Freshman Lyndi McKinnon.
Nashua South’s lone goal was scored by Soraya Ross, assisted by Tanvi Menghani.
Lancer Sophomore goalie, Reagan Delude, had four first half saves and one in the second.
The next evening, on Thursday, Sept. 15, the Londonderry squad played host to the Dover High School Green Wave and beat that team in what turned out to be a close game.
Londonderry got off to an extremely quick lead, scoring within the first 10 seconds of the contest, to start the game with a 1-0 lead.
The score remained there until six minutes remained in the half and Londonderry went to the sidelines with a 2-0 advantage.
In the second half, the Green Wave was able to get two back, but Londonderry was able to get the game wining goal for the 3-2 win.
That victory put the Lancers season record at 4-2 to start the fifth week of the season,
This week they were scheduled to play Exeter High School on Monday, Sept. 19, and then host the Pinkerton Academy Astros in a Mack Plaque game scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
