The Londonderry High School Volleyball squad continued their winning ways last week with three more strong victories against Division I opponents.
The Lancers first win of the week came in the state capital, on Tuesday, Oct. 11, where they were able to come away with a 3-0 straight set victory against the Concord High School Crimson Tide.
This was the team’s twelfth win of the season and their eighth shutout.
The following night, on Wednesday, the LHS volleyball squad moved to 13-1 with a 3-1 victory over the Goffstown Grizzlies at home. Londonderry dropped just one game, winning 25-26, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-20.
The Lancers had a number players performing exceptionally well.
Junior Ally McGonagle had 21 kills; senior Lexi Small added another 37 assists; senior Madi Saucier got eight kills and three aces; freshman Riley Campo managed four kills and four blocks; junior Liv DeFazio stepped up for seven kills; junior Abby Harrington had three aces and five digs; and senior Lacey Turner tallied six kills.
Two nights later, at home, the Londonderry squad celebrated senior night with another straight set victory.
The team got by the Timberlane Regional High School Owls 25-20, 25-21 and 25-15.
All nine of the teams seniors had productive evenings and helped push the Lancers record up to 14-1.
Becca Tinkler got seven kills; Ashley Sarazin had three kills and a block; Sydney Rankin put up 18 assists and two aces; Shannon Ball got five kills and three digs; Bella Elguezabal put in two assists and two digs; Samantha Fortier got two aces; Lexi Small tallied nine more assists and six kills; Madi Saucier had four kills and two aces; and Lacey Turner finished with five kills.
