The Londonderry High School Wrestling team suffered another dual meet defeat last week, but bounced back over the weekend with three wins.
On Thursday night, Feb. 9, Londonderry traveled to Pinkerton Academy and battled the Astros team to a 51-27 loss.
Starting at 182 lbs., sophomore Owen Rondeau defeated Trevor Raspuzzi with a pin at 4:29. Pinkerton senior Jack MacKiernan (195 lbs.) had a Fall win over junior Matthew Ritchey at 2:18.
At 220 lbs., Astros wrestler Herve Durocher pinned Andreas Taliadouros at 3:11.
Londonderry got their second win with junior Jason Senus with a forfeit.
The Lancers then gave up weights 106, 113 and 120 to forfeit.
LHS junior Nicolas D`Alessandro (126 lbs.) added six-points with pin of Cameron McMahon at 1:11.
LHS Freshman David Pento (132 lbs.) beat PA’s Anthony Borbone with a Fall at 2:30.
At 138 lbs., Pinkerton’s Michael Follo had a win over Michael Palma with a 9-6 decision.
Astro’s 145-pounder, Nathan Lindquist, had a pin over Emanuel Perez at 1:42.
Sophomore Patrick O`Connor (152 lbs.) had Londonderry’s final win of the evening with a 4-2 decision over Nelphison DeAlmeida.
Pinkerton’s George Tsekrekas (160 lbs.) had a fall win over Ricardo Perez and Michael DeMartino (170 lbs.) won over Colby Russel of Londonderry to finish the meet.
The LHS team finished the regular season at the annual Cavalier Duals at Hollis Brookline High School on Saturday, Feb. 12.
At that meet, Londonderry beat Winnisquam Regional High School 52-24, Bow High School 45-18 and Pelham High 54-18.
Against Winnisquam, Londonderry wins came from Nicolas D’Alessandro (126); David Pento (132), Michael Palma (138), Emanuel Perez (145), Patrick O’Connor (152), Ricardo Perez (160), Andreas Taliadouros (182), Matthew Ritchey (195) and Jason Senus (285).
Londonderry victories against Bow came from Nicolas D’Alessandro (126), David Pento (132), Michael Palma (138), Emanuel Perez, (145), Patrick O’Connor (152), Andreas Taliadouros (182) Matthew Ritchey (195) and Jason Senus (285).
In the meet against Pelham, LHS had match wins by D’Alessandro, Pento, Palma, Perez, O’Connor, Perez, Taliadouros, Matt Ritchey and Senus.
Londonderry will host the Division I state tournament on Saturday, Feb. 19 and the Meet of Champions the following weekend to end the season.
