Lancers Cheerleading Squad Competes at State Finals

The Londonderry High School Varsity Cheerleaders finished in the top five during the Preliminary Round of the NHIAA Winter Spirit State Championship last weekend. Which moved them into a chance to compete in the finals on Thursday night, March 7.

At that event, all four divisions took part in the chance to take the state title.
In Division I, Pinkerton Academy was able to secure another State Title, winning with a total score of 104.1, two points higher than the second place finisher, Concord High School, at 102.2. The Salem Blue Devils took third at 98.1 and the Lancers finished with a score of 88.6 for fourth place.
This was Pinkerton’s 11th win since 2011.
The Londonderry team was able to boost their score by 10.7-points from Prelims earlier in the week.
Lancers coach, Chelsea Dennis, was impressed with the way the team stepped up in the finals, saying, “That is an incredible improvement, increasing in so many of the categories on the score sheet all around. We are so proud of the team for making it to States this season – the first time since 2018 – and to hit all the skills in their routine tonight is all we could ask for.”
The team consisted of nine freshman, three sophomores, two juniors, and one senior. They were: Morgan Anastasi, Alivia Chretien, Skyler Greenwood, Ava Hatchell, Lyla Kullman, Lily Lever, Sophia Maclean, Emily Ouellette, Isabelle Robinson, Emma Stowell, Sayde Thompson, Celia Kerr, Skyler Pfaff, Zee Sylvestre, and Gabriella Wrisley.
The team was also coached by Michelle Sharp and Julia Rose Thorpe.
