As the spring season reaches its midway point, the Londonderry High School girls lacrosse team split a pair of games last week to move to 5-4 on the season.
The Lady Lancers opened the week in dominant fashion on Monday, May 4, cruising to a 14-4 victory over the Dover Green Wave.

Londonderry controlled the game from the opening draw, led by a five-goal performance from Summer Butler and a strong defensive effort from Molly Leone, Mel Kowack, Avery Stowell, Madison Grennon, Haley Doyle, and goalie Abby Cook.
Eres Delorey and Lexi Padykula each added four goals in the win.
Molly Connors contributed one goal and two assists, while Cora Rogers scored once. Addison Doyle recorded two assists, and Lily Ciaramatero added one assist.
The Lancers returned home on Thursday, May 7, for a rivalry showdown against Pinkerton Academy but came up just short in a tough 8-7 loss.
Londonderry carried the momentum through much of the first half, building a 3-1 lead after the opening quarter and extending the advantage to 5-2 with less than a minute remaining before halftime.
Pinkerton began its comeback in the second half, cutting the deficit to 5-4 by the 6:25 mark of the third quarter before completing the rally in the final quarter to secure the one-goal victory.
Butler paced the Lancers with two goals and two assists. Rogers finished with two goals and one assist, while Eres Delorey added two goals.
Annabelle Melia also chipped in with a goal for Londonderry.
The Lancers are scheduled to play three games this week, beginning Monday at home against the Exeter Blue Hawks.
Londonderry will then host Winnacunnet (8-2), a Division II squad, on Thursday before traveling to Manchester on Friday to face the 1-9 Central-West team.
