Lancers Field Hockey Win and Lose in Close Games

The Londonderry High School Field Hockey team notched their fourth win and fifth loss last week with both games being decided on two goals.
On Monday, Sept. 23, the Lancers faced the Salem Blue Devils at home, beating them by a score of 2-1.
Londonderry took the lead early, getting the ball in the net in both of the first two periods.
Goals went to junior Seinna Schulz with an assist from senior Ava Windisch.
Junior Lindsey McKinnon also had a goal, hers was assisted by junior Jiselle Silvestro.
The Lancer’s sophomore goal tender Molly Tharrington had 10 saves in the victory.
Salem had five saves in the loss and dropped to 3-5.
Over the weekend, on Saturday morning, Sept. 28, the Lancers hosted the Pinkerton Academy Astros, where they lost 2-0.
Both goals we scored in the first 30-minutes of the game, but LHS was never able to penetrate the Astros goal line.
The now 4-5 Londonderry squad was scheduled to play Winnacunnet (5-3-1) on Monday, Sept. 30, on the seacoast. On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the team is scheduled to host Timberlane (4-5) on Wednesday, at 4 p.m.
