Lancers Relay Team Breaks Record at Home Invitational

On Saturday, May 23, the Londonderry High School Track and Field teams hosted the 2026 R.E.A.L. Londonderry Invitational and delivered exactly what a home meet should-records, standout performances, and a glimpse of a team peaking at the right time.

The highlight of the meet came in the 4×800 meter relay, where the quartet of junior Finn McDonald, senior Jack DiBuono, senior Josh Twomey, and senior Carson Fitzgerald delivered a historic performance.

Their time of 7:50.48 not only won the event-it shattered the meet record and set a new school record, breaking a mark that had stood since 1997.

Twomey wasn’t done. The senior returned to dominate the 3,200-meter, winning in 9:23.93, the second-fastest time in school history. Fitzgerald added depth with a strong fourth place finish (9:39.30), while Patrick Ramsey placed fourth in the 1,600-meter (4:34.37).

In the 800-meter, McDonald (2:00.72) and DiBuono (2:01.18) finished 4th and 5th, reinforcing Londonderry’s distance strength across every event.

Field Events and Vertical Success

In the field, Devin VanAvery cleared 5’10” to place sixth in the high jump, while on the girls’ side, Eres DeLorey soared to second place (5’4”).

Teammate Arianna White added a sixth place finish (4’10”), giving Londonderry two scorers in the event.

The girls’ 4×100 meter relay team of Shaneda Jackson, Sharon Jackson, Lillian Paris, and Eva Boutwell turned in one of the team’s top finishes of the day.

Their time of 51.02 earned third place, finishing behind only powerhouse programs Pinkerton and Bedford.

Boutwell also competed individually in the 100-meter dash, advancing to the finals and finishing seventh (13.20) against a stacked field led by Bedford’s Alaina Beck.

Londonderry athletes showed up across the board in a deep invitational field:

Freshman Eva Boutwell was seventh in the 100-meter final at 13.20, got ninth in the 200-meter dash and a solid relay team contributor.

Additional entries in sprints, distance, and field events kept Londonderry competitive in nearly every category. Londonderry High School will host the 2026 NHIAA Division State Championship on Saturday, May 30.
