Lancers Track and Field Teams Host REAL Invitational

The Londonderry High School Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field team’s hosted the annual R.E.A.L. Londonderry Invitational with about 14-teams competing at the meet on Saturday, May 20, under the threat of rain for a good part of the afternoon.
The Lancer boys had a number of first-place winners at the event, winning the 400-Meter Dash, the Triple Jump, Pole Vault and the Long Jump.

BOYS
Senior LHS record-breaker Sean Clegg, who just recently was coming off an injury, took first place in the 400-Meter Dash with a time of 50.07 seconds. One full second past the nearest competitor.
Senior, Donovan Gannon had a first-place finish in the Triple Jump with a jump of 41’7.75″, just edging out the second-place finisher by .75.”
Senior Andrew Kullman had a first place finish in the Long-Jump, reaching 20’6,” three inches further that his nearest competitor.
Kullman had a second-place finish in the High Jump, reaching 6’2.”
In the Pole Vault, senior Donovan Gannon tied for first place at a height of 12-feet. That event was halted due to rain.
In the 4×800 Relay the Lancers had a fifth-place finish from the team of freshman Jack DiBuono, Fortin, junior Aiden Oljey, and Twomey.
In the 1,600-Meter Run, senior Ryan Fortin managed a third place finish with a time of 4:31.10, less than three-seconds behind the number one finisher.
In the 4×100 Relay, the team of Amaro, Seth Doyon, Jon Inglese, and Andrew Kullman had a fifth-place finish with their time of 44.66.
In the 200-Meter Dash, senior Anthony Amaro had a sixth-place finish with his time of 23.35 seconds.
In the 4×400 Relay, the Londonderry team of Clegg, Griffin Massahos, Josh Twomey and Amaro finished in seventh-place.

GIRLS
In the 4×100-Meter Relay, the Londonderry team of freshman Jaylin Galeaz, senior, Marline Fitzgerald, sophomore Emma Nadeau, and junior Madeleine Plante had a time of 52.56 for fifth place. The Nashua South team finished in first with a time of 48.47.
In the 4×400-Meter Relay, sophomore, Linsey Gregoire, Madeleine Plante, freshman Drewanne Sherma, and Amara Williams finished in sixth with a time of 4:41.87. The winning time was 4:09.33 by Nashua North.
Gregoire had a top-ten finish in the High Jump, finishing in ninth with height of 4’8″.
In the Pole Vault, junior Amanda Robinson cleared 10-foot and finished in a tie for second place. Senior Marline Fitzgerald had a fifth-place finish at 9’6″, and junior Lilly Haggart finished in seventh (8’6″).
Freshman Alexandra Pena came in ninth in the Long Jump, finishing with a jump of 15’1″.
In the Triple Jump, Robinson had a seventh place finish with her 32’8.5″ finish.
Sophomore Nkechi Wambu had a Discus Throw of 84-feet and finished in the top eight.
In the Girls’ Javelin, junior Mary Croteau had a throw of 95’5″ and finished in the seventh-place spot. Haggart threw 85’8″ and came in at the ninth spot.
Both teams will head to the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association’s Division I State Championship on Thursday, May 25, at Salem High School starting at 4 p.m.
