Lancers Track Athletes Compete at Division State Championship

The NHIAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championship meet was held at Plymouth State University on Sunday, Feb. 11, and although Londonderry High School didn’t have a large team competing, there were some notable Lancer performances.
Lancer sophomore, Eres Delorey, placed second in the Girls’ High Jump.
Delorey was able to clear 5’2″ (a personal best) to secure the runner-up finish and add eight-points to the team total The winner finished at 5’4″.
Junior Linsey Gregoire also competed in the Girls’ High Jump, clearing 4’8″ and finishing in seventh.
The LHS boys’ 4×800 Meter Relay team, consisting of senior Will Buckley, junior Alex Vaccaro, sophomore Jack DiBuono, and senior Aiden Oljey ran their fastest time of the season and was good enough for a fifth place finish and two-points for the team score.
The Londonderry girls’ 4×800 Meter Relay team featured freshmen Gabby DeLong, junior Sayde White, sophomore Ella DiBuono, and sophomore Drewanne Sherman also ran their fastest time of the season and got a seventh-place finish.
Sophomore Josh Twomey ran his personal best time of 2:41.36 in the boys’ 1,000 Meter Run and placed seventh.
Head coach, Matt Smith, noted, “We didn’t have a big group qualify for the meet, but the ones who made it had some of their best performances of the season. By and large, it was a successful meet.”
