Lancers Track & Field Members Place at Meet of Champions

Members of the Londonderry High School Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field Teams competed in the NHIAA Meet of Champions (MOCs) over the weekend and though they didn’t have nearly the success as they did one week earlier at the Division I State Championship, a number of Lancers finished in the top of the state.
The MOCs were held at Oyster River High School on Saturday, June 3, in some cold and wet conditions.
Senior runner, Sean Clegg, who was able to retain his title for the second straight year in the 400-Meter Dash at the Division I Championship with a time of 49.8 seconds, took second at the MOCs with a time of 50.68, a half second behind Ty Dorow of Oyster River.
In the Long Jump, senior Andrew Kullman took second place with his final jump of 21’9.5.” Kullman had a jump of 22′.75″ for a first-place medal at the Division I Championship.
Kullman also had a sixth-place finish in the High Jump, although he was short of his first-place finish at the DI Championship with the height of 6’4″, Kullman had a 6-foot jump of Saturday.
Senior Ryan Fortin had a fifth-place finish in the 3,200-Meter Run with his time of 9.29.95. Fortin was third at the DIs a week earlier with his time of 9:36.75.
In the 4×100-Meter Relay, the Lancers team of Anthony Amaro, Seth Doyon, Jon Inglese and Andrew Kullman finished in eighth place with a time of 44.77.
Senior Donovan Gannon had a fourth-place finish in the Triple Jump at 40’5″. Gannon reached 40’11.5″ for his third place finish at the DI states.
GIRLS
The Lancer Girls had a very good showing at the Pole Vault with four ladies finishing in the top six.
Senior Marline Fitzgerald finished in second at 9’9″ in a Jump Off. Junior Amanda Robinson had a third place finish in the Jump Off at 9’6.” Senior Ava Ruppel also reach a height of 9’6″ and took third at the MOCs.
Fellow junior Lilly Haggett tied for sixth place with 9-feet.
In the Triple Jump, Robinson had a jump of 31’11.5″ and got a tenth-place finish.
