Lancers Track & Field Teams Host Three Team Event

The Londonderry High School Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field Teams hosted a home meet last week with both squads taking second place against Nashua South and Windham High Schools.
The Purple Panthers ladies took first with 108 points, the Lancers had 64.5-points, and Windham finished with 41.5.
For the boys, Londonderry finished with 41-points, South had 133.66, and Windham got 40.33-points.
The meet marked a high point for senior Andrew Kullman, who topped his personal best by one-inch in the high jump, taking first in that event with a jump of 6’5.”
Kullman also had a first-place finish in the Long Jump, reaching 20’3.75″, about a foot further than his nearest competitor.
Mike Sampson took first in the Javelin with his toss of 148’8.”
The only other first place finish for the boys came from Donovan Gannon, who was six-inches higher than all others at 9’6″ in the Pole Vault.
Lancer junior Jaydon Navarro had a second place finish in Shot Put with a throw of 40’2.”
Gannon had a second place result in the 100-Meter Hurdles with his time of 17.3 seconds.
The LHS 4×400 team was the only other second place finisher with their time of 3:51.7.
Tambwe Kasongo finished in third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 49.9 seconds.
In the 800-Meter race, Aiden Oljey had a fourth place finish at 2:12.9, just two-tenth of a second behind the third place competitor.

Girls
In the team’s highest scoring event of the meet, Londonderry took 13-points with a clean sweep of the Pole Vault. Marline Fitzgerald won first place with her vault of 9’6.” Robinson took second place with a height of 9-feet, Ava Ruppel finished in third with her vault of 8’6″, and Haggart reached 8-feet for fourth place.
In the Javelin, Mary Croteau first at 97.9″, and Lilly Haggart hit 83’2″ for second place.
In the Triple Jump, Amanda Robinson finished in first with a distance of 31’4.25″ and Lindsey Gregoire had a jump of 30’11” for second.
Nkechi Wambu had a second place finish in the Discuss with her throw of 82’10.”
In the Long Jump, Amanda Fawcett landed with a distance of 14’8.25″ for second place and Alexandra Pena took third at 14’8″.
Gregoire had a second place finish in the High Jump with a height of 4’8.”
The LHS 4×100 team took second place with a time of 53.3 seconds.
Emily Smith placed third in the 3,200-Meter race at 13.34.7.
Sayde White had a third place result in the 800-Meter race with her time of 2:45.6.
In the 300-Meter Hurdles, Lillianna Cawthron had a third-place finish at 56.9 seconds.
Cawthron also got a third place finish in the 100-Meter Hurdles with a time of 18.9 seconds. Bridget Root took fourth in that event with a time of 19.6.
Amara Williams had a fourth place result in the 1,600-Meter run at 6:18.1.
In the 400-Meter race, Drewanne Sherman took fourth with a time of 69.1.
