The Londonderry High School Varsity Softball squad strung together three wins last week, for four consecutive victories, upping their season record to 7-4 to start the month of May.
The first week of May had the Lady Lancers outscore their opponents 36-12 and they were also able to overpower the rival team from Pinkerton Academy 13-3 in a Friday night game under the lights.
The LHS squad started the week, outlasting the Bishop Guertin Cardinals in a back-and-fourth battle, winning 10-8 in a road game that lasted into an extra inning.
In the first inning, Lancers senior Lauren Laudani drove in two runs with a double to right.
The lead was short-lived, as BG came back in the bottom of that inning, with three runs of their own, off a double to center.

The Cards then added two more in the second, giving them a 5-2 lead over their visitors.
In the third inning, the Lancers knotted the game at five, when they able to belt out five singles.
In the fifth, Londonderry took a three run lead, on four more singles, making it 8-5 with two innings remaining.
The BG girls battled back in the bottom of the final regular inning, getting three runs on two singles, a double and an error at shortstop.
With the game tied at eight a piece in the top of the first extra inning, junior Zoey Nelson smashed a two-run homerun to centerfield for the eventual game-winner.
The Cardinals didn’t have an answer in the bottom of the inning with senior Mya Gaspie sitting down three of four batters.
Junior Olivia Cutuli was given the win, pitching five innings and allowing seven hits, two walks, and five runs while striking out seven.
Gaspie got the save, pitching three frames, two to start, and getting six strikeouts, six hits, and five runs.
Londonderry had 12 hits in the game and only struck out twice.
Two days later, at home, the Lancers easily dispatched of the Nashua North Titans with a lopsided 13-1 victory.
Sophomore Abby Austin got the win, pitching three hitless innings with five strikeouts and no walks. Nashua only had one base runner against her due to an error.
Vivian Belanger finished out the final two innings of the game and got three Ks.
The Lancers had five hits in the game and got 10 walks for their third straight win.
The team’s fourth consecutive win came during a Friday night game against Pinkerton Academy, where Cutuli put up some exceptional numbers, pitching a complete game with five hits and 10 strike outs then going 4-4 at the plate, including two homeruns and a double, for five RBIs.
The LHS crew scored in every inning, with three in the first, second and the fifth, two in the third and one in the fourth and sixth.
Senior infielder, Nina Covino, had four RBIs and belted three doubles. Laudani also had a homerun and a double in the nighttime game.
The Lady Lancers played at Nashua South to start this week, winning 13-3 and are scheduled to take on the Spaulding Red Raiders on Friday afternoon, May 12, for their only other game this week. The Friad game starts at 4 p.m.
