The Londonderry High School Volleyball Squad kept its perfect record in tact again last week with the final game of the regular season.
As most fans expected, the Lancers easily got by the John Stark Regional High School Generals in straight sets.
With the win, the Lancers put the cherry on top of a perfect regular season, winning all 16 games and notching 48 sets won to 10 sets lost.
The stellar finish allowed the Londonderry squad to enter the Division I State Championship as the number one seed and a first-round bye.
The final game of the regular season took place on Tuesday, May 30, with the Generals coming close in two of the three sets, but the Lancers wound up winning 25-14, 25-23 and 25-22.
The game had 11 players contributing: Senior Spencer Brassard and junior Ethan Munro had five kills in the match; junior Crosby Nolan had four kills; senior Trevor Edmunds finished with four kills and two blocks; senior Colin Ness amassed 14 kills and two blocks; senior Brady Joncas had one dig; senior Owen Evans had six digs and an ace; senior Victor Elguezabal got three digs and an ace; junior Matt Doyle tallied eight digs, an assist, and an ace; senior Cam Normand was able to get three kills, two blocks, one dig, one ace, and 29 assists; and senior Kyle Rondeau had three kills, four digs, and two aces.
The Lancers were scheduled to face their first opponent in the Division I Championship on their home court in the quarterfinals against Keene High School. Keene beat Timberlane 3-0 in the first round of the playoffs.
Londonderry beat the Blackbirds in straight sets in the first match of the regular season back on April 10.
