Lancers Volleyball Squad Takes Care of Keene at Home

The Londonderry High School Boys’ Volleyball team boosted their season record up to 8-6 last week and had four consecutive wins for the first time this year.
The winning streak started on May 15, with a 3-0 blanking of the Timberlane Owls and finished on Friday night, at home, with a 3-1 victory against the Keene Blackbirds.


The Lancers second game of the winning streak was a 3-1 win over Mascenic Regional High School on Monday, May 19.
In the category of Kills, Gavin Doughty put up 19 of them, Ethan Saranich had 12 in the game and Peter Pispitsos tallied nine.
Kai Hou captured three Aces in the four-game match while Liam Evans got two.
Theo Paccione had 24 assists and Everett Vago assisted his team six times.
Leading in Digs was Gavin Doughty with nine and Gavin Richert getting eight.
Theo Paccione and Ethan Saranich each hade one Block in the win.
Two days later, at Farmington High School the Tigers had their best match of the year and Lancers were able to stave off a 3-2 win and get their third consecutive victory.
The winless Farmington bunch has been swept 0-3 in every other match this season.
In Londonderry’s final game of the week, on Friday night at home against Keene, the Lancers opened with wide lead, but let the Blackbirds back into the set and eventually dueled to a 26-24 win.
Keene came back in the second, with a 25-23 victory, but LHS came back in the final two sets for a 25-16
In Kills, Saranich led the team with 12; Gavin Doughty and Peter Pispitsos each had nine and Jack Smith finished with six.
Doughty led in Digs with nine; Richert had eight and Ethan Palmer and Liam Evans both had one.
Saranichled the team in Blocks with three; Palmer had two and Everett Vago finished with one.
Doughty tallied five Aces in the win while Evans had two and Jack Smith got one.
Leading in assists was Paccione with 10 and Vago had two.
The Lancers have just one week left in the season and currently sit sixth place in the state standings.
