The Londonderry High School boys volleyball team picked up three consecutive wins after a short break during the school’s spring break.
The Lancers improved to 8-1 with back-to-back victories over the Windham Jaguars at home and on the road, then hosted the Portsmouth Clippers for their third win in as many days.
Starting on Tuesday, May 5, on the Lancers’ home court, Londonderry battled the Jaguars through five tough sets before coming away with a 15-7 win in the deciding set for the team’s sixth win of the season.


The LHS squad opened with a 25-21 first-set victory but stumbled in the second and third sets, 24-26 and 19-25, before surging back with a 25-19 win and a victory in the final set.
Gavin Doughty had 25 kills, one assist, one block, two aces, and seven digs in the match.
Peter Pispitsos finished with 14 kills, one assist, five blocks, seven aces, and five digs.
Theo Paccione had 44 assists, two aces, and five digs. Everett Vago recorded six kills, two assists, two blocks, five aces, and four digs.
Ethan Saranich finished with five kills. Kai Hou had one assist, three aces, and three digs. Gavin Richert recorded 21 digs. Liam Evans had three digs, and Dylan Duggan added one dig.
The following day, the team beat the Jaguars for the second straight night in a four-set victory. The Lancers dropped the first set 19-25, then won the next three, 25-14, 25-16, and 25-16, for their seventh win of the season.
Ten players scored in the match. Doughty had 26 kills, three blocks, and five digs. Pispitsos recorded 10 kills, five blocks, two aces, and two digs. Vago had six kills, one assist, five blocks, and one dig. Saranich added six kills, five blocks, and one dig. Paccione had 44 assists for the second straight night, along with two blocks, one ace, and one dig.
Hou had one kill and one ace. Richert recorded one assist, one ace, and nine digs. Evans had one assist and one dig. Dylan Duggan had 10 digs, and Ben Hotchkiss contributed eight blocks and one dig.
The team wrapped up the week with another home game, hosting the Portsmouth Clippers, and defeated the visitors in straight sets, 25-16, 25-15, and 25-17.
Scoring included Doughty with 16 kills, two aces, and one dig. Pispitsos added three kills. Vago had six kills and one ace. Saranich recorded four kills and one block. Paccione had 27 assists, five aces, and five digs. Hou added three aces and one dig. Richert contributed five digs.
Evans had six digs. Duggan recorded one assist and one dig, and Jackson Bailey added one ace.
The Lancers began the week by traveling to Dover High School for what was expected to be a tough contest against the 8-1 Green Wave.
The following day, the Lancers will head to Weare to play the winless John Stark Generals.
They will wrap up the week at home against the 5-4 Timberlane Owls, with the match scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m.
