Larry R. McCarthy, 53, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home. He was the former husband of Katherine (Conley) Jackson.
He was born in Lowell on January 16, 1964 and was a son of the late Edward J. McCarthy and the late Caroline T. (Texiera) McCarthy. He was raised in Lowell where he attended the area schools, graduating from Greater Lowell Voke.
He was employed as a pipe fitter, more recently as a supervisor, at Mammoth Fire Protection and Artec Sprinkler Corp. in Lowell for over 25 years. Larry enjoyed fishing, camping, four wheeling, and playing pool, the drums, and darts. He was also in a pool league and a darts league. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his son, Josh McCarthy of Jersey City, NJ; his siblings, Patricia Texiera of Lowell, Elizabeth McCarthy of Washington, DC, Carol Ann Genakos and her husband, Theodore of Lowell, and Jay McCarthy and his wife, Meghan of Cape Cod; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
