LHS Girls’ Basketball Go 17-1, Head for State Title as #2

The Londonderry High School Girls Basketball finished up the final week of the regular season with 74-45 blowout win over the Keene Blackbird to finish at 17-1 grabbing the number-two seed in the Division I playoffs.
The Lancers began their quest for a division title on Monday night, March 3, facing Nashua South (#15), with the win they will take on Salem High School Thursday March 6 at LHS starting at 7 p.m.


In the team’s final game of the regular season, Tuesday, Feb. 25, Londonderry didn’t hold back as they prepared for the post season.
After starting with a 16-15 advantage in the first quarter in Keene, the Lancers outscored the Blackbirds 25-8 in the second for a 41-23 lead by halftime.
The visitors had a similar result in the third quarter to lead 62-34 going into the final period with a 28-point lead.
The team’s bench came in throughout the final period for the eventual win.
Junior forward/guard Katie Sullivan had another big night, scoring 29-points to lead all players. Half her points came in the second quarter, scoring 14-points. Sullivan had five hit from outside the arc and was two-for-three at the foul line.
LHS guard Brooke Eacrett also had a big night, scoring 16-points, most of which came in the first half. The junior had 10-points in the first, including two three-pointers, and added four in the second.
Sophomore guard Gemma Murray added 14-points to the team total with most of her points coming in the second and third quarters. Murray scored six in each of those periods.
Freshman guard Emerson Dodge had seven-points and sophomore Madison Couture put up five-points.
The team’s only loss of the season came in the next-to-last game, falling to the number-one seed in the play-offs, the Bedford High School Bulldog. The Lady Bulldogs finished the season with an undefeated record.
