LHS Track Teams Finish High at Plymouth State Meet

The Londonderry High School In-door Track and Field teams had some good results at the annual New Hampshire Winter Track League Meet at Plymouth State University on Saturday, Jan. 11.
The Lancers Boys team was able to take first place over 13 teams with a score of 63 over Bedford High School with 59 and Coe-Brown at third with 48-points
The LHS Girls team took second place, also with a score of 63-points. Bedford took first with a 95 and Exeter claimed third-place at 50-points.
Boys Results
In the 3,000-meter, junior Josh Twomey took first with a time of 9:18.84; junior Carson Fitzgerald was second at 9:32.45; and senior Alex Vaccaro was fifth at 10:27.07.
In the 55-meter senior Griffin Massahos had a time of 6.83 for first place.
In the 300-meter Massahos finished third at 38.55.
In the 1,500-meter, Fitzgerald had a time of 4:26.62 for third; Twomey took fourth at 4:28.24; and junior Jack DiBuono was fifth at 4:28.36.
In the 4 x 400-meter the Londonderry team of Ryan Clegg, Finn McDonald, Jayden Skitch and Vaccaro finished at 3:58.13 for sixth.
In the 4 x 200-meter the team of Lucas Palma, Massahos, Luc Gaudet, Trenton Powers came in second at 1:38.81.
In the Long Jump, senior Luc Gaudet finished fourth at 20’3.5″.
In Shot Put senior Matt O’Neil finished sixth at 36’11.5″.
In the High Jump sophomore Devin VanAvery reached 5’9″ for sixth-place.
Girls Results
In 3,000-meter Londonderry captured all three top spots. Senior Sayde White was first at 11:54.18; freshman Stella Dutton took second with 12:17.94 and freshman Anna Laufersweiler was third at 12:19.86.
In the 1,000 meter, sophomore Gabriella DeLong was third at 3:24.29 and junior Drewanne Sherman took fourth at 3:25.42.
In the 1,500-meter, freshman Aylin Hand was sixth at 5:48.86.
In the 4 x 400-meter, the Londonderry team of Gabriella DeLong, Ella DiBuono, Drewanne Sherma and Sayde White took third-place at 4:43.60.
In the 4 x 200-meterthe team of Kyra Courtemanche, Eres DeLorey, Shaneda Jackson and Emma Nadeau were fourth at 1:59.63.
In the High Jump, first place went to junior Eres DeLorey at 5’1″, and senior Linsey Gregoire finished at 4’11” for second.
