Londonderry Girls Lacrosse Squad Wins Three of Four

The Londonderry High School girls Lacrosse team bounced back from four losses to rattle off three lopsided victories and a close loss last week.
The Lady Lancers month of May started with a big win at home over Keene-Mon at home on Monday afternoon. The LHS girls had a 9-0 lead heading out of the half and finished with a 15-1 victory.
Caroline Leone and Tara Wright each had three goals and Wright added an assist.
Meghan Daileanes and Ava Naar both managed two goals with Daileanes getting an assist.
Also contributing a goal in the game were: Lauren Allen, Lilia Melia, Victoria Savage, Natalie Washington and Gabby Pedrick.
Allen and Savage each had three assists, while Washington and Melia both had one assist in the win.
Two days later, in Manchester against Central, the girls had another wide-margin win.
Londonderry beat the Little Green of Central 18-2 for their fourth win of the year.
Goals went to: Leone had six; Daileanes and Wright had three; Allen got two; and Savage, Pedrick, Abbie Whitley and Naar each had one.
Three assists were tallied by Allen. Naar finished with two assists and Washington, Pedrick and
Kiera Strike each had one assist for the Lancers.
On Friday, Londonderry kept the high offensive onslaught going with an 18-6 victory over Salem High School.
Leone was once again the top goal getter with five. Wright followed with four of her own. Melia contributed three and Naar added two.
Allen, Whitley, Savage and Tess Brown all had one goal in the win.
Assists went to: Tara Wright with three; Washington with two; and Melia Caroline Leone and Jill Leonardo each getting one.
The Lancers week ended with a re-match with Pinkerton Academy, who they had faced one week earlier.
Although Londonderry was able to keep the score closer this week, they lost 9-5 at home on Saturday.
The LHS squad finished the first half with a 6-3 deficit and were never able to overcome the Astros lead.
Naar led the Lancers with two goals and Caroline Leone, Wright and Savage each had one.
Whitley, Caroline Leone and Allen each contributed assists.
