The Londonderry High School Softball team added three more to the win column last week with convincing victories over Salem, Keene and Portsmouth to remain undefeated atop of the Division standings.
The only other team with a 6-0 record thus far in the second week of the season is Pinkerton Academy.
The Lancers week started at Timberlane Regional High School on Monday, April 20, where Londonderry gave up two early runs, but rallied for five runs in the third inning, leading to a 12-2 victory.
Paige Secor earned the win in the circle as the starter, pitching three-innings, allowing four hits, one earned run and striking out two batters.
In the five-run, third inning, Allison Chambers led off with a single and found her way home after an error, a walk and a wild pitch. Shannon Crowley also singled her way on and was driven in on a three-run home run by Riley Campo.
The team followed up three runs in the fifth and two in the final two innings.
Ginney Flaherty had three hits, Campo and Addison Martinez each had two hits and Geary, Martinez and Flaherty each had doubles in the one-sided contest.
Elisabeth Kearney pitched four innings, allowing three hits, two walks and striking out nine.
Londonderry had a much closer game when the hosted the Merrimack Tomahawks and were able the hand that team its first loss of the season.
In the 4-1 victory on Wednesday, April 22, Kearney allowed the one run on two hits and two walks while striking out 13-batters.
All four of the home team’s runs came in the fifth inning. Led off with a double by Mady Normand and a single by Secor, Crowley later hit a two-out, three-run home run to center field to give the Lancers their three-run lead.
Overall, the team had nine hits with Flaherty, Jen Raza and Normand each getting a double.
The team added to its impressive 38-consecutive victories when they finished the week with a 10-1 win at Spaulding High School.
Secor got her second win if the season, taking the circle to start the game and pitching four innings, allowing just one run on two hits.
Kearney finished up with three hitless innings and eight strikeouts against nine batters.
Crowley and Riley Campo were 3-4 at the plate, with Campo getting a double. Another LHS double was delivered by Martinez.
Allie DiNovo hit a triple in the lead off spot in the seventh inning and later scored on a wild pitch.
The Lancers finished the month of April with home games against Winnacunnet (3-3) and Goffstown (4-2) and will head to Bedford High School (2-3) on Friday, May 1.
