Londonderry Wrestlers Compete Against Three Teams

The Londonderry High School Wrestling team saw some success at three dual meets they competed in last week.

The first meet the Lancers competed in was on Wednesday, Jan. 19, in Bedford where they had a tough time matching up against the Bulldog squad.

Londonderry lost to Bedford 42-15 at that event, coming away with two bout wins and a forfeit.

At 132 lbs., David Pento was able to pin Nathan Pass in 0:15 for six-points.

Patrick O`Connor (152 lbs.) had the other Londonderry win with a 5-0 decision over Matthew Vranich for three-points.

At 182 lbs., Lancer Colby Russel added six points with a Forfeit win.

Over the weekend, on Saturday, Jan. 2, the team competed in the Nashua South Quad Meet and had an overwhelming win and a 10-point loss.

The Londonderry squad blanked the Alvirne Broncos 57-0, but lost 46-36 to the host Purple Panthers.

In the Alvirne match-up, had decisive wins in all the matches wrestlers competed in. The Broncos gave up two weights to forfeit and there were double forfeits in four weights.

At 138 lbs., David Pento pinned Logan Jacques (1:16).

Michael Palma (145 lbs.) had a pin over Christian Yiatras (0:20).

At 152 lbs., Emanuel Perez beat Cameron Steed 11-4.

Patrick O`Connor (160 lbs.) over Grant Dickieson with a Fall at 1:24.

Ricardo Perez (170 lbs.) over Shaun Boudreau with a Fall at 0:40.

Colby Russel (182 lbs.) pinned Jack LaChance at 1:38.

At 126 lbs., Nicolas D`Alessandro had a win over Jacob Kulick due to injury.

Kaden Stone pinned Hunter Ganas at 132 lbs. in 1:23 for the final win.

The news was not all good for Londonderry at that Quad Meet, they also suffered a slim 46-36 loss to Nashua South.

David Pento (132) had a Sudden Win over Anthony Fernandez (6-4) to start the meeting.

Emanuel Perez (145) received a forfeit win.

Patrick O`Connor (152) had a 7-6 Decision over Damien Perez.

At 160 lbs., Ricardo Perez received a forfeit win.

Nikki Stylianos (106 lbs.) received a forfeit win.

Nicolas D`Alessandro (126 lbs.) received a forfeit win.
