Peterson Sugar House and Farm held an Open House over the weekend to help celebrate Maple Weekend. Sugar maples have stopped producing sap for sugar and syrup but there was plenty of activities for visitors at the farm. The process of making maple syrup and candy was explained and people were served ice cream topped with syrup throughout Saturday and Sunday.
