Michael P. Walsh, 49 of Londonderry died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Mike was born in Stoneham, MA on May 4, 1968, the son of Agnes (Medeiros) Walsh and the late Joseph Walsh. Mike was a 1986 graduate of Billerica High School, and later graduated from WPI in Worcester, MA with a degree in electrical engineering. Mike has resided in Londonderry since 1995, formerly living in The Highlands, NJ. He was employed for Arris Corp. in Lowell, MA as a network engineer. Mike especially enjoyed attending his sons’ band performances, baseball and football games, as well as his daughter’s dance recitals and drama club events. Above all, he loved spending time with his family skiing, traveling, or just sitting at home watching a movie.
He is survived by his wife, Cathryn (DeMaria) Walsh of Londonderry, two sons, Andrew Walsh and Dylan Walsh, and his daughter, Nicole Walsh, all of Londonderry, his mother, Agnes Walsh of Middleboro, MA, one brother, Joseph Walsh of Brookline, NH, and one sister, Kristen Shott of Carver, MA. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday July 10, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marks Church, corner of South Rd. and Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial will follow in Pillsbury Cemetery, Londonderry.
