Missing Student Found by Police

A search for a missing girl ended successfully when the 11-year-old Londonderry Middle School student was found by the police unharmed.
“The incident (Sept. 25) ended successfully,” Londonderry police Lt. Timothy Jones said. “She did not get on her bus that morning. She went into the woods near her home to be alone. She was found by Londonderry Officer Andre Uy and New Hampshire State Police K9 Trooper Alex Lee (of Troop C). She was reported to be in good health and was reunited with her mother.”

According to police, Officer Brad Warriner received a call at 10:37 a.m. Sept. 25 from a woman stating that her daughter, a sixth grader at Londonderry Middle School, never got on the school bus.
Police searched Walmart in Derry and found her unharmed in the area of Franklin and B streets in Derry.
In another incident, a child was walking along the road when a school bus driver reported seeing the child get into a vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle in front of Matthew Thornton Elementary School.
“The young man missed his bus and his mother had him walk to school,” Jones said of the incident. “She followed behind him for a while until she felt he had enough. He then got into her car and was driven to school.”
