North Elementary School fifth-grade teacher Beth Haarlander shares her love for the outdoors with about 20-students with a weekly after-school program of nature discoveries. The group meets each Thursday, weather permitting, and explores the nature trails behind the school. Haarlander had the students measuring trees and looking for various habitats during a recent walk.
