NY and NJ Men Arrested in Local Home Depot Theft

Two individuals from Brooklyn, NY, along with an another man from Hackensack, NJ, were arrested last week for allegedly stealing a number of items from the Home Depot in Londonderry.
According to a Press Release issued by the Londonderry Police Department (LPD): On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at approximately 7:38 a.m., a number of Londonderry officers responded to the area of Nashua Road and Interstate 93 (I-93) after witnesses reported observing three male individuals leave the Home Depot without paying for their items. The three men reportedly left the scene in a white SUV with NY registration plates. As the vehicle made its way from the store to the interstate it was damaged as the operator attempted to access the southbound ramp by leaving the roadway and crossing the median.
As a Londonderry Officer attempted to make contact with the three men and the damaged vehicle, a foot pursuit ensued. The Officer was able to quickly take one of the three men into custody. The other two, who fled, were later apprehended by the Derry Police Department and the New Hampshire State Police, who had responded to assist in the incident. The vehicle was subsequently seized pending the application of a search warrant.
The three men now face an array of misdemeanor and felony level criminal charges in Derry and Londonderry to include: Organized Retail Crime Enterprise, Theft, and Resisting Arrest. All three were scheduled for arraignments at the 10th Circuit – District Division – Derry courthouse on Thursday, April 18, at 8 a.m.
The three men arrested were: Jaret Thurgood Simpson, 30, of Hackensack, NJ; Shakeem Jeremiah Harris, 25, of Brooklyn, NY; and Kofi Griffith, 25, of Brooklyn, NY, each were charged with Receiving Stolen Property of $1,001 to $1,500; Organized Retail Crime Enterprise; and Resisting Arrest/Detention.
