Londonderry Police Chief, William Hart, officially retired on Friday afternoon, Aug. 5, with a small ceremony at the Police Station. Deputy Chief, Kim Bernard, will be taking over his duties and he ran the event, starting with officers lining the walkway to the station and ending with lunch and recognition inside the station. Hart was presented with a number of gift as he retire. A print with his license plate and badges signed by officers, a statue of an eagle from Manchester Airport and a medal from the Sons of the American Revolution. Hart was Police Chief for 13 years and was recently nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as the Granite State’s U.S. Marshal. Photos by Chris Paul
