During the May 21 School Board meeting, the Board had a chance for people in the community to give feedback about the District’s Strategic Plan.
It was explained by School Board Chair, Bob Slater, they were looking to be able to get feedback from the community, by having dedicated time, during their meetings, to speak about it.
“What we have done is put this on the agenda for the next several meetings so we’re hoping some community members come in and give us some feedback on our school strategic plan that we’re putting together for the next five years,” Slater said.
In a letter on the District’s website Superintendent, Dan Black, wrote “every five years our School District produces a Strategic Plan to map out its priorities and goals as a system.”
“We are currently in the process of gaining feedback from multiple stakeholders and both the School Board and Superintendent would like to invite input on the upcoming Strategic Plan (2024 to 2029) re-write during our May and June School Board Meetings from parents and community members,” Black wrote.
Black explained in his letter that there are certain things that would be beneficial for people to think about for feedback, as they review the current strategic plan, specifically if they could answer the following questions:
- What Culture and Climate Goals should we have for our Londonderry Schools?
- What Academic Goals should we have for our Londonderry Schools?
- What Operational Goals should we have for our Londonderry Schools?

Black explained that their goal “is to produce the 2024 to 2029 Strategic Plan by the late Fall of the next School Year right before the budget process begins.”
Aside from the May 7 and 21 meeting, they will also be having time dedicated for feedback during their school board meetings on June 4 and on June 18.
“If you have good insights to any or all of those areas, please come share them at anyone of the upcoming School Board meetings this spring,” Black said.
Black also noted during the meeting that Assistant Superintendent, Jason Parent, and himself, are currently in the process of getting feedback internally from faculty and staff, regarding the strategic plan.
