While the Town of Londonderry received “outstanding candidates” in its search for a Town Manager, “the most probable candidate found an opportunity elsewhere,” Acting Town Manager William Hart said. In an announcement at the end of last week, Hart said the town has therefore reopened its search to fill the position, previously held by David Caron.
The town had hoped to have a new town manager in place by April 1, that start date is now listed as July 1. According to the advertisement published in the Boston Globe as well as in regional and national publications, the applicant “will possess the ability to effectively promote organizational excellence and exceptional community services.”
The town is seeking an applicant who is “an articulate, progressive, effective leader with a proven record of innovative, professional management experience to serve as town manager.” The applicant need not live in Londonderry at the time of application and may reside outside of Londonderry with the approval of four members of the Town Council.Ten years of relevant senior management experience and a Bachelor’s degree in public administration or a related field are required.
The application deadline is March 29.
