The Londonderry High School In-Door Track and Field teams competed at Phillips Exeter on Saturday, Jan. 14, with both the Girls and Boys finishing in fifth place overall and senior Sean Clegg wound up setting a new school record in the 600-Meter.
Clegg’s time of 1:22.40 also gave him a first place finish in the race two-seconds ahead of Jacob Redman of Bedford.
Other results for the LHS boys were:
Senior Anthony Amaro had a time of 6.78 in the 55-Meter run for fifth place and got sixth in the 300-Meter with a time of 38.64.
Junior Aiden Oljey took third in the 1,000-Meter with his time of 2:57.15.
In the 1,500-Meter, freshman Jack DiBuono had a time of 4:50.95 and finished in sixth-place.
Senior Donovan Gannon had a time of 9:31 to finish fifth in the 55-Meter Hurdles.
The team of Amaro, Clegg, Griffin Massahos, and Oljey took fourth in the 4×400-Meter Relay.
Gannon and Amaro both placed in the Long Jump. Gannon finished with an 18’8.25 jump for fourth and Amaro took fifth at 18’8.25.”
GIRLS
Senior Megan Daileanes finished second in the 55-Meter race with a 7.74, a tenth of a second behind the winner.
Sophomore Ella DiBuono was second in the 1,000-Meter, running the race at 4:01.02.
Fellow sophomore Sade White finished third in the 1,500-Meter with a time of 5:48.99.
In the 4×200-Meter Relay, the Lancer team of Lillianna Cawthron, Daileanes, Amanda Fawcett, and Madeleine Plante finished in fourth-place with a time of 1:59.01
Daileanes also had a third-place finish in the Long Jump with her jump of 14’8.75.”
Freshman Autumn Yazbek got a point for the team in the Shot Put with a distance of 26’11.75″ and a sixth-place finish.
