The Shamrock Shootout Three-on-Three Basketball Tournament took place on Saturday, March 19, at the Londonderry High School gymnasium and had a good deal of participants for its first time running.
There were just under 30 teams taking part in the fundraiser hosted by the LHS Athletic Leadership Council designed to benefit community members wanting to play basketball in the Londonderry Basketball Club, but are in need of financial assistance.
The gym had four, ten-minute games going on throughout the day and was divided into two divisions.
In the high school division, the team named “The Misfits” consisting of Corey Nolan, Tyler Kraft and Joey O’Neil beat the “Ty Miles” team of Ty Miles, Sammie Sullivan and Kevin Rourke in the finals to win.
In the Middle School division, “JBC” beat the “Fundamentals” in double overtime to take the title.
