Sherman C. “Sherm” Weeks, 73, of Londonderry died June 29, 2014.
He was born on June 25, 1941 in Newbury, the son of the late Charles and Autumn Weeks, and stepson of Harold Brown.
When he was 10 years old, the family moved to New London. He ran a golf driving range and caddied for a golf course in New London when he was in high school, and this began his lifelong love of golf. He graduated from New London High School, class of 1959 and then attended Hesser Business College, graduating with the High Accounting Award.
He and his daughter Beth owned and operated Sherman C. Weeks and Company.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kingston, and was on the Board of Directors of Becoming A Christian Organization.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Smith Weeks of Londonderry; his two daughters, April McLeod and Beth Weeks; his sister, Shirley King Maxwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours were Wednesday, July 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pillsbury Cemetery, Londonderry.
