Sleep Inn Robbed at Gunpoint

Londonderry Police say the Sleep Inn motel at 72 Perkins Road was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 4:17 a.m. Wednesday, July 3. The motel is near Exit 5 of Interstate 93.

Londonderry Police Lieutenant Ryan J. Kearney said police responded to the motel after receiving a report that the night manager had been robbed at gunpoint.

“The crime is being actively investigated and we are aware that a similar crime had taken place in Goffstown on June 27,” Kearney said.

Kearney said that upon arrival at the motel, officers were told the suspect was described as a Black or Hispanic male approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches in height and weighing approximately 170 to 190 pounds.

“The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white sneakers with a black plastic mask covering the lower portion of his face. He was also carrying a North Face type black backpack,” Kearney said.

Kearney said that the weapon used during the robbery was described as a silver semiautomatic pistol.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken as well as a C.H.A.D. (Children’s Hospital At Dartmouth) donation container. Police said they were told the suspect fled in an unknown vehicle.
