South Elementary School held its 16th Annual “Food for Furry Friends Drive” last month. The drive for the homeless cats and dogs organized by Diane Fisher, Office Assistant, & Kathleen Peterson, Reading Teacher, was once again an enormous success with tons of items being donated to the Salem Animal Rescue League. Picking up donations for the Rescue League were Anthony Grieco, Executive Director, and Mackenzie Koch, Marketing Director. A number of students helped out with packing and loading items, they were: Meela Markunas, Talon Pilalas, Damien Raymond, Halle Galvin, and Evelynn Vossbrink, also, helping was Michael Hogan, Assistant Principal.
