Londonderry High School student and current Miss. Stratham Outstanding Teen, Megan Plaza, had lots of visitors at the high school on Saturday morning, Jan. 6. Plaza was collecting gently used suitcases and duffel bags for NH’s fostered youths for her “Suitcase Project” and her effort brought in just under 825 items. Her hope is to supply every youth in the NH foster care system with a suitcase or duffel bag, enabling them to carry their belongings from place to place in a way that provides a greater sense of self-esteem, dignity, and belonging. Plaza was allowed to store the overwhelming amount of bags at the former Lions Hall while she looks to secure a UHaul storage locker.
