On Saturday morning, June 15, the Londonderry Lancer football squad, led by Athletic Director and Head Coach, Jimmy Lauzon, turned out in force to help Beautify Londonderry. Approximately 80 young men were split into two groups. The first group, all freshman to be, assisted in a gardening and weeding at South School; Group 2, all upperclassmen, deployed to various roads and athletic fields in town and picked up 40-50 bags of roadside trash. For his efforts, each young man received the satisfaction of a job well-done plus a free ice cream cone donated to Beautify Londonderry by Colbie’s Cones at Sunnycrest Farms. Courtesy photo
