The Londonderry Greeley-Parmenter-Harrington Post 27 Junior Legion Baseball team tacked on three more wins last week to head into the final regular season week at 8-4.
The three victories were all taken on the team’s home diamond and they came against squads from Newmarket, Portsmouth, and Derry.
Londonderry’s biggest win of the week came on Monday, July 8, taking on the Robert G. Durgin Post 67 of Newmarket. The Post 27 squad managed to tally 10-runs in the first three innings and didn’t give up a single run for the 10-0 shutout.
Sully Daron and Kayden Pouliot combined efforts from the hill with Daron getting the win as the starter.
Daron threw three innings with five strikeouts, two walks, and three hits.
Pouliot hurled the remaining two frames, striking out two and giving up just one hit.
As for the offense, nine Londonderry batters had hits in the game with Jace Ruggiero and Daron getting two RBIs each to lead the team.

The frame started with Graham Killelea taking a base after being hit. Liam Parent had the first hit of the inning, on a ground ball to right. Following that, five single, a walk and an error gave Londonderry a comfortable 8-0.
In the third, a single to center by Ruggiero with two men on brought in the final two runs of the game and the mercy rule was implemented to end the game in the fifth.
On Thursday, July 11, the Post 27 squad mustered up some late in the game heroics to salvage a 5-3 win over Portsmouth’s Post 6.
Londonderry trailed 2-0 heading into the sixth inning, when the offense came to life to score five runs.
In that inning the home team bats had three singles, a double, two walks, and two batters hit.
Pouliot got the double with a fly ball to left field, scoring two.
Two singles and a walk led to the Post 6 run in the top of the seventh, but Londonderry was able to hold onto the two-run lead.
Daron and Pouliot once again combined efforts on the mound with Daron getting the win as the starter.
Daron had nine strikeouts, three walks, and seven hits in six and a third innings.
Londonderry bats only needed seven hits to get the win.
