Town Honors Its Veterans with Annual Memorial Day Services

Members of the American Legion Post 27 organized the annual Memorial Day services which included a parade and two remembrance services. The parade included the Lancers Marching Band and Color Guard, the Londonderry Middle School Marching Band, and members of Post 27. The procession marched to Greenwood Cemetery where Girl Scout Troop 62711 members Julia Demers and Vivienne Mankus laid a wreath at the grave of Verne Greeley, who lost his life in the Vietnam War in July of 1967. The parade then marched to the Town Common, where Girl Scouts Samantha Meccia and Alexis Girard brought the flag to half staff and BSA Troop 521-B members Brody Davis and Jordan Bundy. Aria Steele, Tanya Smirnov, Tristan Sylvestre, Ricky Hodgson, Harlan Marcotte, Austin Burke and Aaron Moore laid a wreath at the Civil War monument. Photos by Chris Paul
