After hearing that the Town Council intended to pay nearly $15,000 for holiday light on two groupings of cedar trees on the Town Common, local business owners and residents Tom Estey and Eric Turcotte offered to donate their services. Estey paid for about 4,000 lights and Turcotte had the equipment to string them, Home Depot, where the lights were purchased, donated by selling the lights at half price and the Local Police Association also chipped in on the cost. Turcotte and Darcey Lefebvre spent much of last weekend removing the old lights and stringing the new ones. Estey and other volunteers were also there to help. Photos by Chris Paul
