Woodmont To Meet With Planning Board

LONDONDERRY –  Commons attorney Ari Pollack of the Concord law firm Gallagher, Callahan and Gartrell, P.C., said the yearly meeting that is part of the Woodmont Commons agreement will be held Feb. 5 at the Planning Board meeting.

Town Planner Cynthia May said at the Jan. 8 Planning Board meeting that the annual meeting with Woodmont representatives is supposed to be held during the second Planning Board meeting of January, but because there is no second meeting this month, Woodmont will be discussed at the Feb. 5 meeting.

“We haven’t had much going on with the project as yet due to end-of-year issues but we will be providing where the project stands at the Feb. 5 meeting,” Pollack said. “Our focus is on the development of the access road from Route 102 (Nashua Road) to Pillsbury Road, which essentially has been on hold since the Planned Unit Development (PUD) was being reviewed. We need a conditional approval before moving on the road. We also want to do the donation of land to the cemetery as promised, and that would require a subdivision.”

The Woodmont Commons PUD Master Plan, a document that had been in the process of review for the past two years, was approved at the Sept. 11 Planning Board meeting. Woodmont Commons covers 600-plus acres, including the site of the former Woodmont Orchards.

With the approval of the Master Plan came the approval of the Development Agreement, which was recommended to the Town Council by the Planning Board. The Town Council approved the Development Agreement contingent on Master Plan approval.

The approval of the Master Plan allows the development to begin the process of more detailed site plans. The document is recorded with the Registrar of Deeds. The applicant’s official name is Pillsbury Realty Development, LLC.
