Neighborworks Extension Granted

Neighborworks, which has two developments planned for two properties on Mammoth Road, was granted a one-year extension of its site plan.
Neighborworks plans to add three buildings on the Whittemore Estates age-restricted property on Trail Haven Drive off Mammoth road. The three buildings – one for five units, one for four units and one for two units, will be added to the six-unit building currently at the site.

The developers also wish to subdivide the property and add 12 rental workforce housing buildings on a site to the north of the Whittemore Estates property, to be called Londonderry Town Homes. The buildings will be townhouse style and have seven-unit and five- unit buildings, with a total of 78 units. The project will be built in two phases, with four seven-unit buildings and two five-unit buildings constructed in phase one, and five seven-unit buildings and one five-unit building built in phase two.
At the Wednesday, Nov. 6 Planning Board meeting, Neighborworks requested a one year extension of the site plan approvals in order to complete the requirements, which at this time, according to senior project manager Earle Blatchford, are “bond amounts for construction costs. We anticipate this to be completed during November 2013.”
The Planning Board unanimously granted the extension request.
Last July, Blatchford and Robert Tourigny of Neighborworks went before the Planning Board for an application acceptance for a formal review of the two-lot subdivision, a formal review of a site plan and conditional use permits to construct 78 units of workforce housing units with associated improvement at 73 Trail Haven Drive, and a conditional use permit to amend the Whittemore Estates age-restricted site plan that had been approved in 2004 for a different developer. Whittemore Estates had not been completed by the previous developer, and Neighborworks wants to complete those plans
